What the FUNK?
Last week Terry was given the honor of designing two 70's style outfits for one of his client's class reunion. he only instructions was he had to make it funky!

STEP 1: Fabric Store
As you can see the overall color was a deep burgundy with a 70's theme of paisley.

STEP 2: Laying Out for Cutting/Pattern Drafting

Manipulating pattern so that we can create the bell bottom pant. True 70's style!

STEP 3: Creating Pieces of Your Garment

After the final fitting, it all comes together!

STEP 4: FINALLY

Another set of satisfied customers!

The House of Mannequins painted the picture. Why Mr. Terry moved back here to make a company, he wanted to make an industry to bring a team together collectively.

PUBLIC RESPONSE

AT FASHION FORWARD GROUP WE ARE VERY INTERESTED TO HEAR OPINIONS OF THE PUBLIC. WE WERE OUT AT THE MALL AND ASKED SOME PEOPLE WHAT THEY WOULD LIKE TO SEE IN FASHION IN THE MOBILE AREA. THESE ARE SOME OF THE RESPONCES WE GOT

Adam Horn said "I would like to see more casual mens wear that is transferable to formal dress wear"

Maria said "she would love to see some variety in summer dresses to enjoy our beautiful Gulf Coast during the day and then be able to simply have something to go with it that dresses it up for an elegant evening out"

HOW IT ALL BEGAN

After graduating from American Intercontinental University(AIU) in Atlanta GA, Mr. Terry began sewing for companies such as the Atlanta Opera, Walt Disney Films, Jive Records, So So Def records and others. After sewing for clients such as Denzel Washington, TLC, Evander Holyfield, etc., Terry relocated to his hometown of Mobile, AL in 2000 to become the chair for Bishop State Community College's sewing department. Master Tailors was founded byTerry in 2001 after he saw the need to establish a premier local sewing service in his hometown. He continued to expand by providing local sewing services to area businesses such as Burlington Coat Factory, G Harvel Mens Clothing, Eastbay Clothing, as well as designing interiors for Lafeyette Plaza, Skyview Lounge, Jada Entertainment Recording Studio and countless personal clients. In 2010 Terry began his Fashion Forward movement because of the need to showcase the Gulf Coast's beauty and elegance. Terry currently searches the Gulf Coast for models, designers, stylists, photographers and partners to help in the progression of creating the Gulf Coast Fashion Industry.

TIME TO GROW UP

Too many young men have adapted a growing trend called the "SAG."Companies such as Tommy Hilfiger even used sagging pants in high proced marketing campaigns to sell underwear. Multiple musical artists are notorious for wearing this style of dress, both black and white. Sagging pants have been labeled a youthful rebellion to social conformity.
Where did this tend called sagging begin and what made it the new style? Many have stated the sag originated in the prisons and spread throughtout urban America. While this may be true, not all inner-city kids picked up the style from ex-cons. Most young men growing up in poverty would wear the clothing of their older brothers (often referref to as hand-me-downs). Due to the lack of income, alterations were few if any,
Fashion is slowly evolving from the baggy oversize look into more tailored apperance. High priced fashions have become more affordable as young income levels steadily rise. Rap artists such as Young Jezzy, T.I., Ludiachris, and Jay Z have tailored their style in music as well as clothing. the emergence of young successful entrepreneurs elevates a level of confidence called "Swag." Ones swag begins with personal apperance and transcends from there.
